Re: Dog name recommendations

Good for you! Archer is a good name, even if you were not allowed real input. A friend of mine drives for dog rescues, and my sister in law has taken part in rescues as well. The wife and I have provided what the call forever homes for three discs thus far and still have one. She wants a new one eve...

Re: What other cfb venues have you been to & are you planning on a PSU road trip this year?

During my two years in the Blue Band, we went to Norte Dame, Three Rivers, The Vet, Meadowlands and San Diego for the Holiday Bowl. Years later, U went to UVA for the rescheduled game in December 01. More recently, I saw Pitt lose to Navy in Annapolis at the Military Bowl.

Re: 2020 Election Thread

I firmly believe the MSM has a role in getting Trump elected. For sure in the primaries where he was always front and nearly center in those mass varsity debates. Maybe the feel guilty over that. In reality, they talk about him so much because it results in ratings and clicks. As much as I hate that...

Re: 2020 Election Thread

I agree 100%.

If it does come down to that race, I will remember your comment when deciding. My brother “held his nose” as he voted for Trump. I would much rather not need a daily bleach bath. Sad, but true.

Re: 2020 Election Thread

To be fair, Biden isn’t really in the race yet. I realize it is a formality, and he will be in shortly. I was unaware of this story until the last few days. It is getting a little coverage, but nothing close to the touchy-feeley story. I do not know who I will vote for in the primary, or if it will ...

Re: Random Thoughts Again

I have probably mentioned this before... The Navy has a mandatory Rights and Responsibilities class. Many forget the responsibility aspect of the rights.

Re: Music

I think part of the friendly portrayal is due to the four being producers. You can also tell that Heather Locklear signed off on it while others, like Pamela Anderson probably did not. I agree that these guys were textbook drugged up rockers with far too much fame and money for their own good.

Re: 2019 Baseball Season

I like Bull Durham. Partly because my wife will watch it, which supports the chic flick with a baseball problem theory. I like For Love of the Game, but she hates that one but will watch Tin Cup.

Brian’s Song made the list, but not Something for Joey? Or, did I miss that?

Re: The Ongoing New Financial Era Thread

I couldn’t get past the premise of the article but think you guys have summarized it well. That said, my wife and I were discussing how the newer generation is an “I want it all now” one. I am sure that there are exceptions, but they seem to buy beyond their means rather than settle and/or plan for ...

Re: 2019 Baseball Season

So the Reds start on a positive note. But it was against the Pirates.
