Let's see - were any Victoria's Secret models ever NFL QBs? If not, I'm passing on this question.

Dad - remember #7 had a cup of coffee in the NFL and if you don't let that be the right answer someone is going to throw dirt cheap Chilean meat at you at the next nf.com tailgate.
a) Nelson Muntz b) Paul Crew c) Seth Maxwell d) Joe Pendleton e) The back up QB at PSU would be a sure fire pro if only Joe would play him and Jay could coach

The carboard cut out in my living room says this is true.

Without looking it up, what was the highest scoring year in NFL history? Going by points per team, per game.

I'll say 2007. The Pats are the first thing that come to mind.

Somewhere in between 2007 and 1945. I admire you're thinking on the Pats, but I meant scoring for the entire league, not any one team. So overall average of points per team, per game.

What year did Payton break the TD pass record? 2006? It as to be fairly recent as I believe scoring has gotten more prolific with each passing decade.

Man, that threw me for a minute. Walter Payton was dead before 2006 and he didn't have any pass records. Oooohhh ... Peyton.
Actually, wasn't scoring pretty high in the 1950s? I was going to pick a year from that decade, but then decided the answer was probably something unusual. And didn't the Bears win a 73-0 championship game around 1945?

It was not a year when Peyton Manning was in the NFL.

Of course, they only played 12 games a season in those years. I will take a stab at 1951.

You're getting warmer. Remember it is not total points, but the average points per game, per team.

Again, it was not any specific team -- the question is league wide, what was the highest scoring season.
It was 1948 -- as described here on the CHFF site.
