off topic, but one thing I'll say about Corzine is he can't be bought. Someone who has $100M of his own money to spend on his 2 campaigns doens't need your money.

Not a fan of Corzine, but I'm not worried about him beholding to special interests.

It's not just about money, politicians need special interest groups for votes even if not for their money. Not to mention they would rather spend someone else's money then their own.

So far Corzine would rather spend his own money. He's got money to burn, too.

He claims left the Senate because he didn't like the politics, the infighting, and the inability to move his own agenda. I'm afraid that the Senate's gain was NJ's loss, but the jury is still out, I think.

Well I agree that poltics has come to political instead of what's best for the people and way too much infighting as well. he has a point with that!

Well a member of the great "monolith" left wing bias media will throw a dog a bone sometime's lol

Anyway's. Here is just an example of why IMHO the media is biased. Look at the remark's Carter made at Corretta Scott's funeral about warrantless wiretaping of MLK and even the day before of Bush's warrantless wiretapping. The vast majority of the mainstream media didn't report that it was JFK and Bobby Kennedy who issued the wiretaps on MLK, they didn't point out that Carter used warrantless wiretaps in the same type of situation as Bush to convict two men or that Clinton has done the exact same thing under his echelon program. The media can't ignore everything but they can bury it on page 12 or mislead like the most often do. let's take another example. Libby is not indicted for leaking Classified info. He is indicted for lying to the grand jury. Nobody has been indicted about leaking classified info. yet, in just about every mainstream media report you read they say something to the effect of Libby pointing the finger at Cheney for leaking classified info. Well sorry, no one leaked classified info or is charged for it. You see Fox news as biased but don't see CNN or MSNBC or the NY Times?

on another political note, anyone else think it is a bad idea to allow Dubai Ports World, a corporation owned by the united arab emirates to buy ownership of several sea ports along the US east coast? i am not for gov't owenership of industry but if a gov't is to own these ports, i'd prefer it be our own, being that sea-importing is our weakest point regarding homeland security. i know that currently the uae are our friends, just like the saudis are, hence my concern.

best quote in this article:

Quote:

"This is a punishment for those who started misusing freedom of expression to insult the sanctities of Islam," said Ahmad Mahmoudi, a cake shop owner in northern Tehran.

Funny how the sanctities of Islam aren't insulted when innocent people are blown up in the Prophet's name. If the average Muslim in the Middle East was as offended by the violent hijacking of their religion as they are by someone making fun of that fact, bin Ladin and his type would have been out of business years ago.
