thanks for making me physically sick, bob. life isn't bad enough for me.
can you now find the picture of Jackie Smith dropping the ball? How about Magic's "Baby Hook" over the entire Celtic front line?
Those are the times I wish I hated sports and loved needlepoint and shopping.

Agreed. Sadly, the last home game I attended. Hope to change that this season and help, in some small way, with the turnaround.
Yes, in fact folks, this slide has been all my fault.....

until that point, I had never heard 95K people dead silent at the same time. Easily one of my most painful memories of my PSU career

What was that moment like. Actually I am a new ticket holder so I have missed most of the great and not so great games. Well I did see LJ2K. Can anyone explain what it was like to be there on that crappy day in 1999?

hard to describe. It never even entered anyone's mind that were going to lose this game. Even when Minnesota was lining up for the final kick eveyone figured that LaVar would block it. Then the kick, the silence....after that I don't remember much because I was in a daze. I remember walking back to the dorm, I don't even remember if I talked to my friends or not, I remember checking the score on the internet to see if we actually did lose.....

Yes, it sucked. My stream of consciousness memories without referring to any real documentation of the game. Rolling along heading for number 1. Beautiful fall afternoon, cool and breezy. The crowd was rocking. Flat game, we had the skills, the team, but never really clicked. All the while, Minny kept hanging around. Finally some points, we go up 2 with a few seconds to play. Minny deep in their own end zone, no time outs and into a strong wind. Break out the bottle this ones wrapped up. OOOps someone forgot to tell them. Pass on left side, caught, first down, stop clock. Another pass about 40 yarder, tipped, bounced around, caught, first down stop clock, out comes FG kicker, up and good as time expires.
Dead silence, rollicking house one minute, mournful silence the next. No one moved, it felt like 20 minutes, was probably just a few. . Minny players all over the field hugging and beating the ground. PSU players, stunned on the field. Finally, a few folks around me started talking, the beav emptied in silence. Quite the buzz killer...... It was plain awful. They've owned us ever since.

Alright, enough of this. Why don't we talk about the Iowa OT losses instead? Or Michigan's win streak against us? Or the 6-4 game last year?
Bastards. I'm going to have my memory erased.

Can't find a better picture, but here's one of my favorite moments of Penn State Football that I witnessed:
Ki-Jana Carter takes the first play 83 yards for a touchdown. My girlfriend (now wife) and I are standing in the crappy student endzone seats when it happened. We watched him run right towards us. It sure stopped those damn Oregon Duck fans from "quacking". I'll never forgive those Oregon fans who ruined my childhood love for Donald Duck.
This one my favorite monments that I saw on TV:

Thanks for the memories, scottopus...my wife (then & still) & I were also there, in the corner of the end zone. But at the moment KJ broke the run I stopped thinking they were crappy seats and settled in to enjoy the day...& celebrating that night.

Paul, quit looking at and thinking about Brian Gelzheiser's beer (leave that to us!). And, while you're at it, quit thinking about golf too! Get Ready For Some Football!

Why does FSU get to play in Boston in September instead of November?
If a game is on ESPNU, does that mean that's the only channel it's available (ie, not Gameplan or ESPN+)?
