It's hardly over, but the Saints now have to battle both the Eagles and The Curse of the B&W.
It's not right.

I see your point. But I think it was the right decision. No reason to give Brees an extra play. They just failed to stop the fake punt.

Guess I have to settle for playing this song, instead.

That's a tough loss, though. Saints are a good team and the Eagles mostly kept them in check. Game could have gone the other way. Eagles just coughed up a big hairball at the end.

Well, with a one score loss I can go back to the declined penalty as the game killer...

Not really. Eagles had one quarter hands down and then their secondary started opening up to Brees' arm. Tough guy to stop once he starts seeing the holes to fire at.

Dude, you have to decline that penalty. We didn't stop a great fake. BTW, the boys were pretty much ready for a fake. Great game and Jeffereys has to make that catch. Great season and I got to see 2 extra weeks of football. Go Birds and we will get em next year!!

Foles showed tonight why we should go with Carson Wentz for the long term

The game was there for the taking. They just ran out of gas.

Oh, well. That Brees guy is a pretty good QB. They are going to crush the Rams.

Eagles just coughed up a big hairball at the end.

Brutal ending. And my biggest football statistics pet peeve.

There's no way that a pass that clangs off a receiver's hands into the hands of a DB should count against the QB as an "interception". Intercepting (by definition) means stopping/catching something before it arrives at its intended destination ... which is obviously not the case for passes like Foles' last pass. I understand they can't call it a "fumble" if the receiver never has possession, but the turnover should go on the receiver's stat line, not the QB's.

And just like that, Foles 2017 heroics of leading the Eagles to a Superbowl were gone.

The real reason they lost, IMHO, was because they couldn't stop those third and longs.
