Rutgers thread

Postby Blue&White » Mon Nov 12, 2018 6:34 pm

PSU and Rutgers both lost to Michigan 42 - 7. So, that could lead one to conclude that they are evenly matched. But, clearly we are not.

Early line has PSU favored by ~27. I think I'm taking the over on that one.

PSU: 45
RU: 10

Yeah, not much analysis needs to be done here. Penn State is good. Rutgers, not so much.

Penn State rolls.

Let's hope this is a "take out your frustrations" game for PSU - I would like to see them clean up some of the execution / unforced error issues and build some momentum to look sharp for the Maryland finale.

Would like to see another game with a consistent running attack with Sanders - 20 - 25 carries and 100+ yards.

I'd like to see a game win which weather isn't a factor - especially in passing game where PSU has the edge

Looks like they are moving on from Polk, Johnson - so let's see Dotson, Shorter, Sullivan Brown, Hipp get some targets - and some catches

The D has improved significantly in terms of generating TOs - let's see one go into the end zone

Like to see Pinegar make all his kicks and build confidence - might need him for Maryland - will need him for a bowl game

Parsons has been improving but let's see a break out game - kind of like that game Jefferson had against Lincoln in Fast Times at Ridgemont High

And yes for us fans let's have a laugher that is in hand by 3rd QT so we can go one Saturday without our BP spiking 40 points above normal

One of these years Rutgers will have a breakout year the likes of Northwestern or Purdue or other also-rans that made one big season out of perennial mediocrity.
But, not this year. And for God's sake, please, never by our hand.
Go State!

This game is about one thing and that is keeping the NJ recruiting faucet running at maximum flow - Franklin knows this

I have this image of two sleazy looking musicians showing up at the restaurant Bob works at trying to convince him they are putting the band back together and he needs to join.

Welcome back, big guy. We going to get Dutch from his old lady's fried chicken joint? Maybe he can bring Blue Appoo with him.
